Tests requiring patients to fast overnight
If you have been asked to fast overnight, unless specifically directed otherwise, the fasting period should be from 10pm until after the blood has been taken. During the fasting period, only water and normal medication should be taken as directed.
Labelling your own specimen containers
Please ensure specimen containers are labelled with the patient’s FIRST & LAST NAMES, DATE OF BIRTH AND GENDER along with DATE AND TIME of when the sample was collected. Failure of samples been labelled correctly can mean that the samples are not tested at the pathology lab.
Samples must be dropped off to Corbets Tey Road site by 10am Monday-Fridays.
